o2 uk broadband logoAs first reported towards the end of last week, O2 UK has now officially detailed and launched its new range of fixed line 'up to' 20Mb Home Broadband and Home Phone (+line rental) packages - 'The Basics', 'The All Rounder' and 'The Works'. Prices start at just £8 per month for their cheapest deal and come with a special 3 MONTHS FREE BROADBAND promotion for new customers.

O2 has also moved to clarify its usage allowances by removing the word "unlimited" and replacing it with "As much as you want / like", albeit still subject to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP). The FUP itself now sets a maximum download limit of 20GB (GigaBytes per month) for 'The Basics' and a soft one of 100GB for 'The All Rounder' and 250GB for 'The Works'.

Each of the following broadband packages also come with a 12 month minimum contract term as before, although those who would prefer a 30 day (rolling) contract can add one at an additional one-off cost of £29.99. As before, existing O2 Mobile customers can take the services for a lower price than non-O2 mobile users.

The O2 web site states ADSL + Home phone from £15.50.
That`s fine if your exchange has LLU - my rural exchange hasn`t been upgraded so the price is £25.50.
Far more than I currently pay taking the two packages seperately with PlusNet and BT.

Yep, non LLU, no O2 users pay 177% premium !
Or 125% if you are O2 user.

Bloody outrageous, wake up OFCOM, STOP this BT RIP OFF !!!

Does this affect existing customers who signed up to their old packages. If so, then this will have some affect on me as I am on the basic package which previously caused me no problems. I have only paid for the basic version before as I can only get a paltry 1.7meg download speed due to BT's antique infrastructure. If they slow me down any more I may as well go back to dial up.........or move all my accounts to another firm.

All people deserve good life and loan or bank loan would make it better. Because freedom depends on money state.
