A complaint by Virgin Media has prompted the United Kingdom’s telecoms and media regulator, Ofcom, to launch an investigation into how the Premier League sells its live TV and related rights for football matches, which is a market that’s currently dominated by BT (BTSport) and BSkyB (Sky Sports / Sky Broadband).

In another entirely unsurprising development it’s been reported that Vodafone are seeking to enhance and possibly extend their existing relationship with BSkyB (Sky Broadband) by potentially bundling Sky’s NOW TV streaming service alongside their forthcoming Home Broadband product, which is anticipated to surface during spring 2015.

How important are Internet upload speeds to your broadband ISP connection? Back in June 2014 we revealed that Virgin Media were preparing to introduce a new generation of SuperHub cable broadband router (here) and recently we’ve learnt that some customers have already started to receive the kit, which looks almost identical to their existing SuperHub 2 router (VMDG485 pictured) except for the addition of Gigabit WiFi (802.11ac).

The United Kingdom’s largest four broadband ISPs, including BT, Virgin Media, Sky Broadband and TalkTalk, have reached an agreement with the Government to block their customers from accessing terrorist and extremist material on the Internet.
