BT Openreach Confirm UK LLU and Line Rental Price Changes for 2016

BTOpenreach, which maintains and manages access to BT’s national UK telecoms network, has announced a series of line rental, local loop unbundling (LLU), electricity and engineering related price changes that will be introduced from 1st April 2016. Thankfully most of the adjustments are reductions.

24 Million Internet Devices Connect to Virgin Media on Christmas Day

Cable operator Virgin Media reports that the average household in the United Kingdom had five different Internet-enabled gadgets connected to their broadband network on Christmas day, which peaked at 10pm and the majority of devices were identified as being Smartphones connected via WiFi.

Ofcom Attempts to Lure Former BT CEO Ben Verwaayen to its Board

The endless debate over whether or not the national UK telecoms regulator will separate BT from control of Openreach has introduced another twist after it was revealed that Ofcom are attempting to lure Ben Verwaayen in for a directorship position on their board.
