A new contract worth £5 million has been signed with Openreach (BT) to expand the operator’s roll-out of “fibre broadband” (FTTC/P) services, which will cover another 10,000 homes and businesses in the city of Leicester (Leicestershire, East Midlands of England) over the next 2 years.

Telecoms operator EE has today announced that 100% of its Pay Monthly Mobile customer service calls are now being handled in the UK and Ireland, which marks a major milestone in its on-going “onshoring” effort to answer 100% of all service calls in the local market.

UK ISP Vispa has announced that new subscribers to their 250Mbps capable CityWireless broadband network, which is available to several urban and rural parts of Cheshire (England), will benefit from a price cut after the provider joined the Government’s “2Mbps for all” rural broadband subsidy (USC) scheme.
