Herefordshire – 8000 Premises to Benefit from Gigaclear’s 1Gbps Broadband

The Herefordshire County Council in England has confirmed that its new state aid supported contract (Phase 2) with Gigaclear will help to put ultrafast Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP/H) broadband technology within reach of an additional 8,000 homes and businesses in the region.

The £800 million Countesswells Development, which involves the creation of a new town with 3,000 homes and various spaces for business / schools near to Aberdeen, has claimed that it will also be the “first community in Scotland” to provide residents with access to “hyperfast” 1Gbps broadband.

Choosing an unlimited “superfast broadband” (24Mbps+) ISP based on price alone isn’t always the wisest idea. Never the less some people will always preference saving a few pounds over getting the best quality, but sadly the job of trying to figure out which is the cheapest isn’t easy.
