City-focused full fibre (FTTP/B) provider Hyperoptic, which now claims to have built their gigabit broadband network to cover 2 million UK homes (mostly across blocks of flats / MDUs), has today summarised their latest accounts to the end of 2025 and revealed that their revenues increased by 22% to £139m, while the customer base rose 18% to 440,000+.

The latest Q2 2026 results from network operators Virgin Media and O2 (VMO2) have today reported a fall in consumer broadband customers of -28,200 to total 5,417,900 (vs -5.3k in Q1), while their mobile base declined slightly to total 46.428m (down from 46.44m) and outdoor 5G+ (5GSA) population coverage remains at 86%.

Broadband provider Olilo has informed us that they’re hoping to launch a new package offering symmetric speeds of 5Gbps (5,000Mbps) via full fibre (FTTP) network supplier CityFibre in the near future. Tentative pricing for the new package is previewed below, but an exact launch date and plan is still to be decided.
