Ofcom has today published its latest Q3-2012 customer complaints report for the UK’s largest fixed line broadband and phone providers (i.e. those with a market share of +4%). Happily TalkTalk continued to see fewer complaints but Orange UK’s service, which is now rebranded under EE, has seen consumer anger skyrocket.

The UK communications regulator, Ofcom, has today published its latest study of customer service satisfaction among the biggest telecoms operators and revealed that Sky Broadband (BSkyB) comes top for both its fixed line broadband, TV and phone services, while O2 was rated the best for mobile providers.

The annual Customer Satisfaction Awards 2012 from ConsumerChoices.co.uk, which are based on feedback from more than 11,000 UK people, has seen broadband ISPs O2, PlusNet and BT dominant most of the categories with O2 picking up the gong for Overall Winner.

The annual uSwitch.com Mobile Awards 2012, which took place this week in London’s Covent Garden (Circus) area, have named Three UK as the Best Mobile Network and the Fastest Network for 3G based Mobile Broadband speeds. The operator was also crowned as the best network for roaming.

The editors and readers of Computer Shopper magazine have awarded PlusNet the Best Broadband Supplier of the Year accolade at their annual 2012 awards ceremony.

The communications regulator, Ofcom, has today revealed its latest customer complaints data for the UK’s largest fixed line broadband and mobile providers (those with a market share of +4%), which covers the second quarter (Q2-2012). Happily ISP complaints saw a sharp fall but TalkTalk remains the provider with most complaints.

Consumer affairs magazine Which? has named broadband provider Zen Internet as one of only three phone operators to win Recommended Provider status for its standalone home telephone service.

Computing magazine PC Pro has announced the winners of its annual PCPro Excellence Awards 2012, which saw Zen Internet win the Best ISP gong for a ninth time (overall satisfaction score of 93%). Meanwhile BE Broadband (83%) and PlusNet (83%) walked away as runners up. Sadly other ISPs didn’t do quite so well.

The latest Which? magazine study of broadband quality, value, performance and general customer satisfaction has awarded its Recommended Provider status to six UK ISPs including Zen Internet, Utility Warehouse, Eclipse Internet, PlusNet, BE Broadband and O2. Sadly other ISPs didn’t do so well.

The UK Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has today announced the winners of its 14th annual 2012 internet industry awards, which saw PlusNet pickup the gong for Best Consumer Broadband ISP. Similarly MacAce won the new Best Customer Choice award and Hyperoptic walked away with the prize for Best New ISP.

Mobile operator Three UK has been named the best overall provider in this year’s Broadband Genie Road Trip 2012 study, which tested all of the five main Mobile Broadband operators (plus Virgin Mobile) for reliability and performance while roaming on a 2:30hr trip from King’s Cross to Exeter in England.

Cardiff-based UK ISP Spectrum Internet has unanimously won the best Communications Provider of the Year gong at this year’s annual FCS Industry Awards 2012, which is a Trade Association for businesses that deliver communications products and services to customers in the UK by radio, mobile, fixed and IP telephony.
