Chess ITC are inflexible, greedy, and unsympathetic. I tried to reduce lines due to downturn of business but will not budge or negotiate at all. They would rather let you go under than bend the rules slightly. I know a contract is a contract, but we all must use common sense and understanding to help each other. Just 20 months left of my sentence with Chess and I'll be free! How do they wangle these self satisfying awards I will never know! Be Aware!

Disgraceful service, zero customer support. It would appear that Chess care only for the money. I was a customer of Chess for many, many, years, but after lack of support and indifferent care over a hardware issue, I informed Chess that I would no longer require their services, giving them their required termination time. They continued to supply unwanted and unneeded service for several months after the termination date, without informing me, until the threatening phone calls started. I repeatedly informed them that service was no longer required, but they still supplied unwanted service and they are now threatening to take me to court for unpaid invoices. How many times do you need to say "stop"??
Not to mention providing excessive and unneeded services;- effectively not fit for purpose, which I might put in a claim for. I feel robbed. So utterly fed up with them I will be leaving negative reviews wherever I can, will be posting my views on social media, and getting the press involved. "Chess" and "Satisfied" are two words I would be surprised to find connected.

WARNING AVOID, this company is a complete joke, the service (or lack of it) is appalling, was without internet for a lot of the time I was with the company, would not release me from the contract despite this, so I then decided to pay them off just to get rid of them, then they have done nothing but harass me saying I have not paid and still owe them, spent days on the phone sorting it (or thought I had) being told how sorry they are and its there fault as billed and fined me for a new home move installation fee when I had cancelled, nearly 7 months down the line they have just threatened me with legal action due to unpaid cancellation fee, bring it on, will now be seeking compensation for their total and utter incompetence.

I joined regional broadband services here in Sheffield (Littlebigone) last February 2013. Since without notice ChessTelecom have taken them over. Right from February to the present I have had failure aftert failure of the service, resulting on consecutive days with no broadband and no phone services. The company have refused to even make a token award for compensation, let alone refund my mobile use.
I am in a vulnerable household with a disabled member of family and unfortunately I had a recent medical emergency and called "999". The service did not work, apparently because they have to program "999" and everything else in to their systems / server. Maybe other customers are affected - I have warned them of the possible consequences.
Customer Services are useless and the managing Director's office only offer insults.
I hate the company. I cannot leave because they say I will be in default of our contract, even though it is they who are not providing a dependable service. They have warned me that I will be charged fees for early exit, even though I have paid upfront over £400 for the service.
Clearly they are not bothered about their integrity and not bothered that they have placed someone vulnerable at risk because of their incompetence. I understand from forum sites that there are other issues with this company. Keep clear of them.
