At first everything was fine stay online as long as you wanted, then around xmas the disconnections started at first it was just a matter of clicking the modem icon and letting it reconnect but recently it has meant uninstalling the software and reinstalling it sometimes more than once even getting the MAC code cost me ?10.45 on my mobile. The guy on the other end of the phone got me to try this and that even though I had already spent half the day getting the connection myself, finally asked him when I get mac code, reply wrong Dept. another call this time didn\'t press any options still took 10 mins to get the code though. WANADO never again

Orange might provide a free broadband service, but if you are self employed then the costs mount up surprisingly quickly because of your lost ability to do your job properly due to this appalling service.

Complaints are largely the same as everyone else\'s on this site: connection is very unreliable, and technical support is an offence to the the words \'technical\' and \'support\'.

Orange are trying to tell me I\'m in breach of contract by leaving, but of course they are well in breach by persistently faiing to provide the service they promised when I signed up, i.e. broadband internet.

I originally signed up with Wanadoo broadband in May of last year. Then in February of this year (2007) I moved house and asked them to transfer my broadband to the new address. It took them 45 Days to move the account over during which time they told BT to move my landline back to my old address. I spent weeks on the phone with them. Then it was activated \"Hurray!\" I declared, however my jubilation was short lived when I saw the average speed I was getting at peak times. It was 100Kbps. However in the middle of the night it was a stonking 8Mbps. I work during the day so rarely sit up at 4am browsing the internet.
Leave well alone.

I switched to Wanadoo\'s 1Mb/s service in 2005. Originally the service was pretty good. Then Wanadoo were absorbed by Orange, and the disconnects began. I thought it might just be my line.

I\'ve since moved house. BT had some issues connecting the master socket to the exchange. Took two weeks to sort out, and Orange were unsimpathic to my plight. BT sorted the line and it was another two weeks for the ADSL to be connected.

While the line is fast, its up and down like a yo-yo most evenings. Orange say it\'s the filter. My collection of new filters disagree. Connecting to BT\'s SpeedTester pseudo-ISP works everytime...

Well I\'ve been done up like a kipper. First I was freeserve, then it stopped being free, and i paid up without a fuss. Then I was sold to wanadoo and I had to pay more, and I had to pretend that i was a pay-as-you-go customer to keep my own email address.

Then I was sold to Orange (the mobile phone company, and we know how customer-friendly they are) and I\'m still paying 27.99 a month, a tenner more than new customers. Service is appalling, can\'t get through, and when you do, they don\'t understand anything. Now I\'m being bombarded with returned emails I didn\'t send because their servers are wide open to spammers. I\'m sick of them. HELP ME

Unbelievably bad service, like other posts on this site. Loss of Broadband for 3 weeks now, Orange unable to diagnose or fix. Pursued various depts twice daily for 3 weeks costing fortune, and eating up my time. Continually put through the same \"tests\", told it\'s line fault, Orange server problem, call back next day, when same process starts all over again. Won\'t give us free dial up while Broadband is off - told us to pay for it and claim it back! Formal written complaint made but response from Rotherham pathetic, no attempt to address the technical problem. Indian call centre horrendously bad. Don\'t touch if you value your sanity.

Firstly my ratings are entirely fair, their support is amazingly bad, they really dont themsleves understand the service that they are providing! They have no technical knowledge (im speaking with reference to adsl max) and therefore how can they provide a service! I have recently migrated and i can see a clear and obvious difference. Orange are below average when things go okay and a disaster when there is a problem, dont be lured in by the price, buy cheap pay twice!

Was with Zen for over 5 years, and had one outage in all that time, and that was only for a couple of hours. However it was expensive - ?25/m for 512mb. Then Orange bought Wanadoo and promise free 8mb Broadband for life so I change to them - too good to be true eh? In 3 months I\'ve have about 7 outages, some lasting 2 days. Their support staff are armed with enough knowledge to be dangerous but not enough to be helpful. (I am a Technical IT Manager, but will they listen to me, no). I\'ve done about 100 factory resets on their pos router, Im getting under 1mb, and I\'m not allowed to use my own kit (Cisco PIX+Vigor router). NOT WORTH IT FOR FREE

Like others, i\'m ex-Freeserve, taken along for the ride. I had no trouble through Wanadoo, and Orange was ok till i needed customer service. Three weeks ago my modem was knocked out by a lightning strike, and since then i\'ve lost count of the number of calls to Tech \"Support\", Customer \"Service\" and other jokily-named departments. I still don\'t have a new modem. If service is in the least important to you ... and you cannot make do with three weeks of downtime when you run into trouble ... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Support is 5 because I haven\'t used it.
Speed if 5 because it\'s fast enough. I don\'t know if it\'s fast or slow.
Cost is ?0 with an Orange mobile contract. I do the odd big download and watch at least one Premiership game a week on the Internet. So very good value.
I don\'t use POP3 with them but SMTP Server is 10/10 Solid, reliable Internet connection.
