I chose IDNet over a year ago because of their promise on not over provisioning a circuit. Whilst they may not be as cheap as some of the competition this was a huge selling point and I ALWAYS get my advertised speed I first started out on 160/30 and I always got my speed, then an appealing offer for 1000/115 came up for £11 more a month and I jumped (I've yet to drop down below 900/100) and been happy I switched since.

Other ISP's have since popped up in my area offering similar services for cheaper but I just can't bring myself to move away from such rock solid connectivity.

When I was in presales stage I had a fair few questions and was always promptly responded to by the customer support team.

My internet has never gone down during the day and if it has overnight it's for a very small amount of time that is barely even noticeable.

I'm extremely happy and cannot state that enough, especially as I can use all my own hardware and very happy to see IPV4 and IPV6 bundled in at no additional cost (Again another selling point for me)

Title: Dumb Pipe
I choose idnet because they were simply an ISP. No restrictions on using your own hardware, no restrictions on your internet access - a real "dumb pipe" in net neutrality terms, which is exactly what I wanted.

Support, on the rare occasion I have needed it, has been superb and knowledgeable.

They may cost above the average, but that is because they provide more than the lowest common denominator of service. We need good, neutral ISPs and our money is the only way to vote. That being said, they are not overpriced and the service has been flawless.

No idea what "Services" means in this context? If "bundled extras" then there are none and that is a feature, not a bug.

Title: Idnet
Disappointed to leave Idnet after 12-13 years of largely faultless service but in rural North Bucks there is only one fibre broadband provider. Would have happily stayed if Idnet was an althernative. Technical support was always quick and easy to use on the rare occasions I needed them. Pricing always competetive certainly compared to BT. Hope I don't miss them!

100% uptime (only down for 18 minutes thus far after 6+ months of connection)
Consistent and reliable speeds.
I cannot rate their customer support, as I have had no reason to contact them yet, which once again speaks to the service they provide.
Extremely glad I swapped from Virgin Media.

What I want most of an Internet provider is speed and reliability, which are both excellent with IDNET. On the rare occasions I've asked for help (just my newbie questions) support has been very helpful.

CityFibre were doing a full FTTH roll-out in our area and when it was finally available, I looked at all the provider options.

iDNET seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I was used to ~Gbit with my existing provider, so the Gigabit option seemed a no-brainer. Only, instead of 1000/50 which I already had, it was 1000/1000! Pricing was reasonable, so I took the plunge, even though I was still in contract with my existing ISP.

I had an initial issue with the install - the contractor fluffed the dates, didn't turn up and I had to rearrange. iDNET was great and got it sorted ASAP.

On the actual install date, the installation contractors were great. I wanted the GPON further from the initial fibre entry point than they usually install (next to my network cabinet down in the kitchen). I did provide a conduit to make it easier for them. After some discussion, they spliced a longer length of fibre for me.

At first everything seemed fine (speed tests were great), but I had a few problems with general interner browsing. It seemed my router (Ubiquiti UDM Pro) was having a problem with implementing the correct MTU settings needed for PPPoE. Tech support were excellent, and with their help, I finally got it sorted out.

Since then, everything has worked perfectly. Speeds have been great (upload and download) and I've not had a single service interruption.

Having been with BT for more years than I care to remember, there was a fault where we lost broadband. BT couldn't fix it, in desperation we went to IDNET who sorted it with little fuss. Being able to speak to a real person was, and continues to be, amazing...
The service is always good, people are helpful and don't embarrass you when it is clearly not their fault and something you have stupidly done.
Best ISP going.
