I ordered a telephone line and broadband takeover on December 23, 2012 and a new line on that same day.

I havve spent a total of £30.00 a week!!! with Plus net and still NO NOT have my second line!

Work that one out!

Prior to this I had a long period with free Orange broadband service because I was along term business user. Why the hell did I give it up? Well briefly I will tell you. Talktalk, which previously when I was with Orange broadband, provided telephone line and calls but then talked me into a 'package deal'. Long and short of it they could not roll out the signal throughout my house. They very kindly let me walk away, which probably had something to do with the fact that I had the line and calls with them for over two years.

Step forward Plusnet. Many of you guys/gals had been bragging how good Plusnet were so I signed up for two lines to get a signal throughout my house. Well I am still waiting and have forked out £180.00 for one line and broadband since then.

Post BT takeover they have all the nasty billing traits of BT without any of the charm of a small company!

PLUSNOT i wouldnt recommend due to disconnections/speed issues isnt whats it made out to be before joining was suppose to be upto 17mb and from day one have never seen it increase over 12mb which i know for sure it can go faster than this its seems to be a Poxy BT sister company have restricted it in my opinion
so my advice would be to DONOT join THESE you will be DISSAPOINTED maybe cheap dial up but its the worst isp for DISCONNECTIONS and SPEED doesnt increase due to disconnections i expect no wonder never increases .
cs is Good but pity there Dial up wasnt as good STAY WELL CLEAR Unless You Want Trouble DIAL UP If You Call IT BROADBAND like dial up

EXACTLY LIKE BT CRAP!!!!!!!!

BT/PLUSNET CAP YOUR SPEEDS FOR THEM TO LOOK GOOD WHICH IS TOTALLY WRONG.. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY

I recently changed from TalkTalk to Plusnet, on Fibreoptic Broadband. As TalkTalk was supposed to be giving me "Up-to 74 Meg", I was getting around 12 Mbps, and 0.65 Mbps Up, Never use TalkTalk. Plusnet PLC Estimated Me, 55 Meg Down, 13 Meg Up, I get 76 Meg Down, and 15 Meg Up, 18MS Latency. I would recommend Plusnet to everybody!

The service is well worth the money! They provide you such a great speed, dedicated to making you happy, and making your service, what you need!

Thankyou Plusnet, for such a great service, and fast install!

Title: Early days
When BT transferred my line from my previous ISP a day early I called PN - call (an 0800 number) was answered within a couple of minutes, a friendly operator took details and "switched me on". My router connected as we were speaking. I asked about regrading to ADSL2+ (as I had been with previous ISP), she said she would put the order in immediately. Sure enough next day I was on ADSL2+. I then used the online ticket system to request that the upload speed cap be removed. That was replied to same day, and actioned overnight. So I now have speeds pretty much the same as before migration.

I suspect many of the complaints in other reviews are from people who simply do not understand the product and how broadband works. Although they are part of BT, Plusnet are treated as a separate company, and get no preferential treatment from BT Openreach, who maintain the network and send out the engineers. A lot of the problems listed would be the same whichever ISp they are with

Next step is to transfer to a fibre product as soon as it is available to us

Title: Horrible
I have found their service unreliable, and their customer services department absolutely horrid. Although their pricing is clearly not bad, they fail so miserably to deliver the promised service that pricing becomes irrelevant. I cannot recommend them any less. Avoid at all costs.

I had them for ordinary broadband and I guess the service wasn't too bad, but then I changed to FTTC and my service dropped out 3 times over a period of 3 months - each time the repair took a long time, the most recent so far being 14 days. They refuse to waive any 'opt out' from the contract fees, since they will endeavour to fix it - but at whatpoint will I get my BB restored? How long do I have to wait? 3 weeks, 4 weeks? If it gets to 4, I think I will go to the ombudsman. I am giving them a lowest score since I don't have anything. As for customer service goes, very pleasant, apart from the fact that they won't let me go, or even just return to ordinary BB without paying a get out fee.

Well it's now 36 days since I placed my order and two weeks without broadband since PlusNet broke my connection.

The technical department are friendly and superficially helpful but continuously fail to actually get a BT engineer booked to fix the problem.

The "customer options" (accounts) department are more obnoxious and refuse to allow me to leave without me paying them £90 because they failed to give a service.

Both teams are slow to answer the phone.

The lesson for me is to go Virgin to avoid the phone wire broadband - PlusNet were meant to be best for customer service but in practice when things go wrong they spout the legal requirements at you and trap you.

£90 to get out feels like quite a good deal now...
