Title: its ok
I was with Zen for about 1.2 years and decided to upgrade to their 900 Mbps package mid-contract. According to the contract, there's a 14-day cooling-off period. However, just two days after upgrading, I called to revert back to my old package—but they refused, saying that since the new speed had already been activated, it couldn’t be changed.

I spoke to multiple representatives, all giving me the same response, despite me still being within the 14-day cooling-off period. I ended up having to file a formal complaint. Thankfully, one of their staff members was helpful and eventually called me back, confirming that I could leave the contract if I wanted—so I did.

But even after I left, Zen continued billing me. I contacted them again and was told I’d receive a refund. Then, three months later, I received a letter saying I owed them money. I called them again, and they finally applied a credit to the account and assured me it wouldn’t happen again.

zen was good but i do not know what happened to the

I was with iDNET for a couple of months on a rolling contract, and overall, they were really good. However, when I wanted to add a landline and use my own hardware, they kept telling me I needed to buy a router from them. I asked why, but they explained that in order to get a landline service, you have to purchase one of their routers—which was a bit of a dealbreaker for me. On top of that, they’re very expensive compared to other ISPs, especially when you consider what you get for the price.

 Vodafone (Broadband Fixed Line)

I recently switched from IDNet to Vodafone, and all I can say is—it’s cheap and it’s good.

I live just outside Edinburgh, using an Openreach line. I'm on the 500 Mbps plan, but the actual speed is closer to 550 Mbps with no issues. My ping is around 27ms, which is solid. Their router is excellent—comes with everything most people need, including Wi-Fi 6. That said, I use my own router, and all you need to do is contact their online chat team to get your username and password.

Vodafone also includes a landline, which I do use. I have a Grandstream HT801, and to get the SIP username and password, you’ll need to be persistent with support—it’s a bit of a hassle, but eventually, they’ll give it to you so you can use your own hardware.

I also have a Vodafone SIM. I used to be with VOXI, but going fully with Vodafone worked out better because of the broadband bundle—they offer a small discount on both broadband and the SIM. I did experience some patchy mobile signal at times, but you can report dead zones through their website, and they actually respond and work to fix them.

One downside is their call centres—they're not the best. Often, the support staff don’t fully understand what you're asking for, which can be frustrating if you need help with something technical.
