This company is impossible to deal with if something is not right. First they have a dreaded overseas call centre; then their staff are pretty hotless at the first contact level; and finally all they want to do is blmew you own equipment
As an illustration the woman in the broadband team kept telling me that broadband was the same as the internet...
Finally and perhaps most importantly they use their own equipment in phone exchanges, which they clearly don't maintain properly so despite call after call they continue to deny having faults...

I arranged a specific changeover date with Pop Telecom who have replaced Talktalk (ugh!) as my provider. They changed the date without reference to me, causing some problems, their confirmation of my contract was slightly wrong, and they needed to refresh the phone connection to add caller identification. But their staff have been helpful and courteous and dealing with them has been such a huge improvement compared to Talktalk. It is early days but I'm certainly delighted to be free of Talktalk!

I have now been with Talktalk for several years, joining them at the time when they were trying to rid themselves of their awful reputation. I am now into my third 18 month contract. The price is good. My FTTC connection has been pretty good and reliable - until last autumn when I started having problems.
It is not easy to get them to fix an intermittent problem and their overseas call centres are really quite hopeless.
But on the plus side they do have a good community support site and the talktalk staff who moderate this are really helpful.
The modem router they supply is quite good too - although not without its faults.
I am 500m from the cabinet and get 38mb/s reliably
