Cisco has today released its latest Visual Networking Index (VNI) forecast for mobile data traffic, which reveals that mobile internet usage now accounts for 597 Petabytes per month (0.6 Exabytes) in 2011 (up from 237 Petabytes in 2010). This is expected to surge 18-fold by 2016 to reach 10.8 Exabytes per month!
