Ofcom has today released a new UK geographic map of fixed line broadband ISP availability, adoption and performance. This reveals that over 14% of homes are receiving internet download speeds of less than 2Mbps, though the average national download speed is a respectable 7.5Mbps (based on modem sync speed and not real-world performance).
