I’ve been using 1P mobile for a couple of years now, its a no frills service, just does what it says on the tin, the thing i liked about the mobile service is there was no annual sucker punch, aka the annual kick “increase price in line with inflation”, there mobile service is an MVOP running on the EE network.
I’ve just placed my order for 1P Broadband, as the same ethos has been applied to there FTTP broadband product, i.e. no annual kick price increase, £34.99 for half a gig download has to be the best value around? And they are a smaller UK company so dealing with them hopefully should be a straightforward experience, I’ll follow up on that.
Their broadband is underpinned by the Openreach FTTP service so migration from BT should be straight forward, no VoIP service offered, but that’s no big deal to me, i think we will start to see SIP VoIP companies becoming a bigger thing this year as the FTTP contract start to mature for renewal.
I’m still bemused by the minimum 24 month contacts that seem to be the only term offered, Openreach are pulling a fast one on everyone there, there’s just no need for this, and its making the market from broadband less competitive, should be 12 months option in my opinion.
