Summary: Suitable name for a hellish company

Demon simply isn't the company they used to be. Speeds are well below what they claim and their customer service is staggeringly, unbelievably poor with telephone support that ranges from apathetic to rude and aggressive.

I've had numerous billing problems with them over the last 12 months, the most recent is a rash of double billing of my account by direct debit. At first they refused to acknowledge the problem, replied to a letter of complaint without having read it, and latterly promised to refund the erroneous charges, only to make more spurious withdrawals three weeks later. 

 They really should be avoided at all costs.
