UK ISP PlusNet Cuts Contract Term on 12 Months Half Price Broadband

Internet access and phone provider PlusNet appears to have quietly tweaked its recently introduced 12 months half price broadband promotion (offer details) to adopt a 12 month contract term instead of the previous 18 month one.
The 18 month contract was a surprise addition to PlusNet’s standard broadband packages, which at the end of last year had initially been re-launched alongside a more standard 12 month term. It’s understood that the ISP expects a 12 month term to encourage a greater uptake of its bundles.
However it should be said that the revised 12 month contract only applies to the ISPs standard broadband service and PlusNet’s superfast “Fibre Broadband” packages (FTTC), which are currently being offered with 6 months half price service, continue to be accompanied by the longer 18 month term.
