A significant country-wide service outage appears to be impacting thousands of customers on Tesco’s broadband service, which is currently in the process of being acquired by TalkTalk following a deal that was signed in January.

A recently published White Paper by the 4G fixed wireless broadband ISP Relish (UK Broadband Ltd.), which offers speeds of up to 50Mbps across parts of central London, has rather shakily predicted that fixed landlines will be “non-existent” in the office and will be “virtually extinct” in the home come 2025.

Business focused ISP XLN Telecom has refreshed their branding and simplified their range of broadband and phone packages. As a result of this a number of new bundle discounts have been launched for new customers, which will be available to order until the end of June 2015. Prices now start at just £2.55 per month for the first 12 months of service.

Sky (Sky Broadband) has released their latest batch of Q1-2015 (calendar) results since they merged with Sky Italia (Italy) and Sky Deutschland (Germany), which reveals that they added +100,000 broadband subscribers for UK and Ireland in the quarter to total roughly 5.53 million (stable from the +106k added in Q4-2014 and up from +75k in Q3-2014).
