Landowners, Telcos and UK Gov Commit to New Infrastructure Code

The Government has this afternoon issued a joint statement alongside landowners and telecoms providers (broadband ISPs and mobile network operators), which aims to put aside past “problems” over implementation of the reformed Electronic Communications Code (ECC) and reaffirm support for the changes.

New Build UK FTTH Broadband Provider IFNL Rebrands to OFNL

Fibre optic network builder Independent Fibre Networks Ltd. (IFNL), which deploys ultrafast broadband ISP services to new build UK home developments using Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology, has today rebranded to Open Fibre Networks Ltd. in order to “more closely reflect its position and offering in the market“.

90% of British Households Use the Internet and Email STILL Popular

The UK Office for National Statistics has released their ‘Internet Access – Households and Individuals 2018‘ report, which among other things reveals that 90% of households in Great Britain have internet access (up from 89% in 2017) and 98% of those have a fixed broadband ISP connection. Email is the most popular activity.
