Broadband ISP Lightning Fibre, which is working to rollout a new gigabit-capable UK Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network for 100,000 premises across parts of East Sussex, has today announced that 14,000 additional homes and businesses in Heathfield and Hailsham will be the next to benefit.

Full fibre network builder Netomnia (YouFibre) has today announced that they’ve entered into a new partnership with infrastructure developer Light Source, which will see the pair work together in order to deploy a 10Gbps Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network (XGS-PON) to 1 million UK premises by 2024.

CityFibre UK has today announced that they’re investing £30m to support the rollout of a new 1Gbps Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network to homes and businesses in the Dorset towns of Poole and Christchurch, which will complement their existing deployment in the neighbouring city of Bournemouth.

Ofcom has today revealed the winners from the “principal stage” of their latest 5G focused mobile (mobile broadband) spectrum auction for the 700MHz and 3.6-3.8GHz bands, which saw operators spend a total of £1.356 billion across the various bands and EE (BT) appears to have gobbled up the most (£452m).
