I\'m new to ICUK so I\'m simply reviewing my initial experiences. I had very high expectations having read other reviews and was doubtful that the support could be as good as I hoped. Simply put - it is every bit as good!!!

I can\'t tell you how refreshing it is, actually being able to speak directly to someone who takes an interest and has the knowledge and skill to diagnose problems, rather than having to deal with the call-centre hell I\'ve been used to with other companies(TISCALI just suck!)

There were snags on my installation (due to my equipment) and they solved the problem immediately - I am now online and very happy.

Title: Too Slow
I\'ve been with ICUK for almost a month now and I'm already looking to migrate to another ISP. The support is better than most ISP\'s but the speeds are just too slow.

If you're a P2P/Bittorrent user you will find that the speeds will always be slow no matter what times you connect, as they implement traffic shaping 24/7.

I would have liked to remain a customer given their high level of support but the cost seems unjustified given their slow speeds and traffic shaping policy.

I have just migrated to ICUK and all I can say is AWESOME!!! These guys have been terrific from the beginning providing me advice on how MAC codes work. Today which is a bank holiday monday they guided me on making the changes to my netgear router. I didn\'t have to speak to an indian call center and I didn\'t have to be put on hold and I didn\'t have to call a premium rate number. I spoke to someone with 1 ring they answered and and I spent a total of 3 minutes on the call. I should have left my previous isp years ago. These guys are awesome and refreshing!!! I thought I should post this as I found them on this website. Thankyou ICUK.

Just escaped from Plusnet & still receiving counselling due to the experience!

(Due to the change from IPStream to LLU, Plusnet were truly abysmal & if I hadn\'t been able to speak directly to someone high up there, the migration would\'ve taken longer than the 6 weeks I had to endure. Cost me ?50 for the priviledge of being cut off & re-connected due to the Plusnet/BT/Tiscali farce.
To sum up - if your ISP transfers to LLU - BEWARE!).

Can\'t praise ICUK highly enough for their side of things.
They could hardly be more helpful, contactable & knowledgable.

(Just pray that if they go to LLU, the technology actually works by then!)

Migrated from eclipse in early 2007 after getting frustrated with their lack of customer support. ICUK are a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service, they worked hard to solve migration issues and when I had a problem setting up my email I called them on a Saturday to find the phone was answered by a real person within a few rings and they actually know what they are talking about.

ICUK are a no nonsense isp who give their customers what they want, not the cheapest around but in my opinion they offer real value for money and some of the other providers could learn a lot from them when it comes to customer service.

I found this ISP through these reviews and decided to migrate from my previous ISP who although offered reasonable service, their telephone support was very expensive - 75p/min. I\'m glad I made the move which took place smoothly and efficiently and went exactly according to plan. There was no downtime.Once my router was reconfigured, bingo, I was up and running. According to a speed test, my 1MB service is really close to that, bearing in mind my line is approximately 3km from a rural exchange. As other reviewers have said, telephone support is outstanding. So all in all, well done ICUK.

BT eventually made broadband available in my area, so ICUK were my first broadband provider. Support when needed for setup has been excellent, including talking me though setting up my Netgear wireless router. It was wonderful to talk to a real human being within a couple of rings.

However, with some trepidation I have decided to move to Euo1net simply because of the price. ICUK were even civil about providing my MAC. If things go bad with \\\'too cheap to be belived\\\' Euro1net I\\\'ll be back.

Three months later:-

I\'m back - after a hideous experience, what a relief - back with a friendly, no nonsense, get what you pay for, reliable ISP.

Migrated from the awful Eclipse and have found them to be first class in every department. I found the Eclipse support non existent and ICUK were a breath of freah air, very helpful and fast replies. If anyone is thinking of moving to a new ISP I would advise giving ICUK a look.

I migarted to their 2mb unlimited service from the Eclipse 8mb service as I was getting speeds as low as 160kbps and was getting an awful line hiss on my telephone. Eclipse did very little very slowly to help me with the problem, so I decided to go back to a fixed download speed and all is now working fine and the download speeds are always around 2mb.

An ISP that actually gives what they claim to on their website. Which is more than can be said for many ISP\'s nowadays in the shocking, pathetic and backwards UK Internet world. They provide a solid connection without any traffic shaping of hidden clauses. Highly recommended.

Never before have I had (even in Australia) service where someone emailed me back on a Sunday night... in half an hour of sending it. We\'re talking 7:30pm on a Sunday - I was simply astounded.

I\'d had really bad experiences with trying to sign up with two mainstream services who were using Indian call centres which just frustrated me no end. They wouldn\'t listen to what you were saying, only what was on the card in front of them.

Quality of product is excellent although sadly only 8Mb at this point. I\'ll be leaping on anything higher they might offer in the future. Fantastic web control panel though the bandwidth tracker is a bit simple.
