Moved to MetroNet from PlusNet, only to find that they were taken over by PlusNet. I am not an excessive downloader, The most I have ever downloaded is 22gigs a month with MetroNet, and less than 2gigs with PlusNet when I was with them. Speed OK, never had to use their support, services basically non existent. All I want is a fast unlimited download, which is what I get now, didn't get with Plusnet and may not get with MetroNet after January. If their New T&C are the same as PlusNet then I will be moving elsewhere as I suspect many others will do also just to get away from the PlusNet family of broadband providers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title: Metrocrap
When i joined Metronet 3 years ago the service was great, but enough about that they are crap, attitude stinks if you can ever get hold of them, they always say the fault is yours and nothing to do with them, ask them if they will compensate you by means of extra bandwidth or something answer is NO NO NO NEVER in a million years. They are not even cheap any more. My advise is if you like paying for no service and bad attitude and like to sit in phone ques for hours, the metronet/plusnet is the way to go. If you want to use the internet then anyone else will do.

Metronet have lost the plot since PlusNet take over.
I was with PlusNet several years ago and left them because of their in ability to manage payments correctly. I was wondering how long it would take for it to happen again.
It was the first month of the take over and double usage payments were taken whilst trying to get this resolved they have taken another double usage payment. Finally got the first error resolved and they have now double charge me double for the mail box.
It is obvious that their support do not read the content of the tickets because they have now terminated my registration and cannot tell me why.

Title: I\'m off
have been with Metronet for approx two years now & had little or no complaints. However, over the past month, I have received emails from them asking me to pay an overdue bill ~ failing to tell me how much I owed them (differs every month depending on usage). Raised this issue with them a number of times by \'contact us\' email tickets or helpline. No response to emails & message saying \"20 minute wait\" on customer service lines. I have never previously been late paying my bills to Metronet - but they cut me off...twice. Eventually got service re-instated & am now migrating to another ISP. Shame, I used to recommend the Metronet to friends.

Title: Time To Go
I\'ve been with Metronet since Oct 05 and had absolutely no problems till they were taken over by Plusnet. Since then I had the odd intermittent outage which gradually got worse and worse and now sometimes lasts for days on end, usually over the weekends when you cant contact them.
You can never get through to their customer service by phone, a recorded message always says its busy and doesnt give you a chance to hold on and wait or leave your details for a call back. You have to use their \"Contact Us\" page on their website, and it takes a number of days for them to respond.
Such a pity a good ISP has been dragged down by being taken over

Metronet have really gone down hill since Plus Net took over. The main reason that I went with them was the fact that there was no usage limits or restrictions. Now if you download more than 7Gb, your connection gets limited to 128Kbps between 4pm and midnight- which I think is terrible. The service is also pretty flaky sometimes which it didn\'t used to be.

I\'m now moving to another ISP, its a shame plus net had to ruin a perfectly good, reliable ISP.

Title: Metronet
Metronet are truly rubbish. My service went down and I called their \'24/7\' helpline every day for 2 weeks and never got through. My service was down for month and in the end when I did finally get through I requested my MAC code. They have charged for the month my service was down. I was only with them for 6 months and paid a ?70 connection fee. Appalling.

I have been with Metronet for nearly two years and never had a single problem (that wasn\'t my fault) until....... PlusNet took over. If you are thinking of going to Metronet DON\'T.

The support is non existent (hadn\'t needed until now) they have introduced some sort of problem into my connection which means I can no longer play some online games because the latency is soooo high. Worst of all thay won\'t even communicate about it so I fear that very soon I am moving somewhere else.

Used to be V Happy with Metronet. Since PlusNet takeover attitude appears to have changed. Improvements ? may be more to make their own life easier(whatever happened to being able to make payments on your account instead of them taking the payment - why no Direct Debit then ?). Customer Support (when they get round to answering) not as cheerful and helpful as they were - positively aggressive and downright rude this week. Seem to have more snags lately - had a failure this week - entire network out for hours before they migrated everyone to PlusNet whilst they fixed it. Looking for a new ISP now - Metronet no longer seems the best option.

But what happened to them?

Before plusnet the services were great. Now every two weeks my connection is down for 12 hours.

The support is a joke: no way to contact them by phone. I wonder if there really have a call center... ????

During the billing system migration they lost my payment. Two weeks of fight!! After two weeks they found my payment.

I\'m going to cancel my contract. So so sad... Metronet is broken.
