OFT Clears Tiscali UKs Pipex Acquisition

Reuters reports that the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has given the all clear to Tiscali's £210m acquisition of Pipex's broadband and voice customers, opening the way for them to begin shifting users onto its own unbundled (LLU) platform.
Typically some administrative issues remain, although those should be cleared sometime next month. For customers it's an anxious time as they wait to find out precisely what will become of their services.
Hopefully Tiscali is able to recognise the importance and familiarity of the brands its purchased and doesnt merely throw them aside.
