Both new and existing customers of Eclipse Internet should have a smile on their faces today after the ISP revealed a major refresh to its broadband packages, doubling usage limits for both Business and Home products. In some cases, such as for the £19.95 per month 'Home Select' package, the usage allowance has gone from 10GB (GigaBytes) per month to 50GB! Prices for a couple of packages have also fallen, but only by a little.

Broadband ISP Fast.co.uk has today announced the launch of its new unbundled ( LLU ) 'up to' 24Mbps packages with an emphasis on faster speeds and enhanced performance for high end users. Fast's new entry package (24Mbps download / 1.3Mbps upload) allows users 200GB usage for £38.78 inc. VAT per month, while its premium option (24Mbps download / 2.3Mbps upload) provides 450GB at £45.83.

Mobile operator O2 UK has quietly killed off its 10GB usage allowance Mobile Broadband package, which had cost just less than £30 per month, came with a free USB Modem (Dongle) and Unlimited Wi-Fi. The operator apparently wants to focus on encouraging light-medium users instead. The move leaves Three (3) and Orange as the only operators with high usage packages.
