Fibre optic developer CityFibre has announced a new partnership that will see them working with business ISP Businesscoms to offer a range of 1000Mbps capable broadband packages to local firms, specifically those within reach of their new £30 million Peterborough CORE network.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, has joined forces with Germany to develop the next generation of ultrafast 5G based Mobile Broadband technology, which will apparently only take “one second” to download an 800MB (MegaByte) film. In reality, it won’t be quite that fast.

Cable operator Virgin Media has told ISPreview.co.uk that they’re keeping a close eye upon the state aid supported BT and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) roll-out of superfast broadband (FTTC/P) services, which focuses upon areas that have been left neglected by private sector investment, to ensure that no overbuilding takes place.
