UK ISP PlusNet Cuts Unlimited Business Broadband and Phone Price

Internet provider PlusNet Business has reduced the price of their ‘up to’ 17Mbps capable standard unlimited broadband and phone bundle to £5 +vat a month for the first 12 months (£13 thereafter), with line rental at £10.50 (standard payg call charges) on a 24 month contract.

Planning Application in Oxfordshire Reveals New BT Fibre Coverage

A small slither of fresh news from the £25 million Better Broadband for Oxfordshire project reveals that the Harlequin Group (on behalf of BTOpenreach) has submitted a planning application for the installation of 8 new ‘up to’ 80Mbps capable FTTC street cabinets in Sonning Common, Gallowstree Common and Peppard Common (South Oxfordshire).

UK Mobile Operators Say NO to National Network Roaming

As expected the Government appears to have failed in its first tentative bid to boost mobile voice and Mobile Broadband coverage around the United Kingdom by attempting to encourage greater sharing of masts (network infrastructure) in the hope of fostering a national roaming policy.

Customers of Virgin Media appear to have had another mixed weekend after some were hit with yet more connection problems on their ntlworld.com email addresses, while others were forced to suffer an unexpected spate of “buffering” issues when attempting to watch video streams on the popular YouTube (Google) website.
