Chelsea UK Telephone Exchange Closure to Hit Broadband Speeds

Some 13,000 premises in Chelsea (London) could be impacted when BT start closing the local Telephone Exchange (WRCHEL) later this year and shift related lines over to South Kensington, which for some ADSL based broadband ISP subscribers could result in slower speeds.

EE Launch New 4G WiFi and WiFi-Mini Mobile Broadband Routers

Mobile operator EE has today launched two new portable “next-generation” Mobile Broadband devices – the 4GEE WiFi and 4GEE WiFi Mini – that connect WiFi enabled kit (e.g. Smartphones, Tablets, PCs) to their superfast 4G cell network.

Plusnet Cut Unlimited Broadband and Phone Bundle Price for 18 Months

UK ISP Plusnet has today recycled their 18 months of “free” up to 17Mbps unlimited broadband offer (£9.99 per month thereafter), but as usual this only works if you take it as part of a bundle with phone line rental and that costs £16.99 a month on top (or the equivalent of £15.49 if pre-paid).
