UK Government Puts Broadband ISP Internet Snooping Measure ON HOLD

The Government’s effort to force broadband ISPs into logging a much bigger slice of all your Internet activity, irrespective of whether or not you’re even suspected of a crime, has been partially put on hold as a result of last year’s related ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Arqiva Unveil First UK Trial of 5G Mobile as ITU Set Draft Performance Spec

The ITU has published a draft of its performance specification for the future 5G (IMT-2020) based Mobile Broadband technology, which calls for a download speed of 100Mbps (50Mbps upload) in dense urban areas. On top of that Arqiva will launch the first UK trials in London during H2-2017.

UK ISP BT Sweetens their February 2017 Broadband Price Cuts

Last week BT’s Retail division launched a range of big first year discounts across their broadband packages and the ISP has today decided to improve these offers with even lower prices. On top of that they’ve also boosted their reward cards, with £100 on ADSL and £150 for “Fibre“.
