Black Friday Discounts Hit ISP BT’s UK Full Fibre Packages

The latest broadband ISP to introduce a round of seasonal Black Friday discounts today is BT, which has added further reductions across their existing range of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based packages and also complemented that by offering the first 3 months of service for free. All upfront costs have also been removed.

The UK Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has this morning revealed the winners of their 25th annual 2023 internet industry and broadband awards, which among other things saw several ISPs taking home more than one award across different categories, including Hyperoptic, CommunityFibre and Brsk.

Mobile Operator O2 UK Recalls Own Brand Phone Chargers

Mobile network operator O2 (VMO2) has put out a product recall notice for their own-brand 45W or 20W charger plugs, which follows some additional safety testing that took place after the operator said they “received a very small number of reports on a few faulty O2-branded plugs“.

Q3 2023 – UK Top and Bottom 10 Local Authorities by Full Fibre Cover

A new update from Point Topic has revealed how the top and bottom ten UK local authorities have changed over the past quarter, at least with respect to their coverage of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband networks. In addition, 103 local authorities now have three overlapping full fibre networks (up from 96 in Q2).
