Network builder and broadband ISP Brsk, which is deploying a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across the Midlands (rollout plan), has today announced that their infrastructure has grown to cover 350,000 premises (up from 266k on 8th August 2023).

New data has revealed that the Essex town of Braintree in England, which is home to just 56,000 people, has become the first location in the UK to show areas where five different gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband ISP networks have overbuilt each other.

Network builder MS3, which is being supported by 30 UK ISPs as part of its work to deploy a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across the North of England (here), has announced that they’ve completed their full fibre roll-out across the Lincolnshire town of Scunthorpe.

A new survey of 2,008 UK broadband customers, which was conducted between 18th to 20th October 2023 by Broadband Genie, has found that 63% feel internet providers use “confusing language” and 54% believe they “hide behind baffling jargon to squeeze more money out of customers“.

Mobile network operator O2 (VMO2) will today launch a “more than double data” offer across all of their Freesim and Pay As You Go (PAYG) style mobile plans (Big Bundles and Rolling Plans), which will see most of their SIM plans getting a big data allowance (mobile broadband) boost for no extra cost.
