Demon Internet

demon internet were great... then, they became rubbish, to be frank!

work in it - know how internet connections work and should work, perfectly able to diagnose a problem and usually right about these things, as it's my profession.

managed to diagnose that there was a problem with demon routers, which was dependant upon the time of day (after 13:30, don't bother trying to work in my area, if you're with demon, seems to be the general theme!).

proved this to demon with tracerts and ping stats for affected routers, both from my connection, and from several easynet colo connections (100mpbs into the easynet backbone), and also, indeed from another independant isp...  did demon care? no, they blamed bt, even after a highly professional slating to the highest available levels, with call backs from god knows who, only that they didn't give a monkies, nor did they have the slighest comprehension of anything it related ;-)

 migrated to sky as i'm in their llu'd area... line speed much faster (demon lied about the limitations of my line, clearly!), real bandwidth much better - even higher than i pay for, which is nice! activation swift (an outage of just 20 mins just after 11pm at night), router preconfigured properly - basically, demon suck a great deal these days - they once pioneered the way, now they are thus, they are crusty!!
