orange uk logoCommunications provider Orange UK has revealed plans to completely refresh its fixed line Home Broadband and Phone packages from 15th September 2010. The current raft of four packages will be replaced by three and form part of Orange's attempt to improve their currently woeful network image and customer services perception.

Orange will also continue to offer 3 MONTHS FREE BROADBAND on the new deals, alongside a FREE connection fee. In addition two of the packages will also include an option for international calls, costing £4 extra a month. As before, each package will come with "unlimited downloads", although it remains to be seen whether the operator has put any effort into clarifying their Fair Usage Policy (FUP).

Full details will be posted on 15th.

Well, I have been an Orange customer for 1 year and I am really happy with speed (12 meg), customer service and livebox. I never had to complain about anything. Even when I moved to my new place, things went smooth and there were no transfer fees. I just miss the TV service that Orange propose for free in the other countries where it operates.

Orange are a useless. I used them for years because my contract phone means I could get broadband for a fiver. Cheap but the service was awful. Plus the FUP is dire, telling customers your on an unlimited account and then restricting speeds at peak times because you go over the clearing limiting fair usage policy. I worked out that just a few hours of mixed gaming and general browsing by me or any of the other 5 people in my house would consistently break the FUP every month.
