The UK county of Leicestershire has announced that it intends to match funding from the government with its own contribution of GBP4 Million. The money will be used to help deploy superfast broadband internet access into the county's many rural areas.

This relates to ACS:Law's "amateurish and slipshod" attempts to "bully" UK internet users into paying hefty fines for alleged involvement with illegal copyright infringement (piracy).
