The score seems low and that is for one very important reason, I have not been satisfied with the preformance of the sevice.

Upon setting up, the installation instructions were confusing, using several lights in order to tell you when its running. Seemed to work but didn\\\'t, kept cutting out untill 4am (from 1pm) when it began working correctly.

Since, has had several drop outs, on a couple of occasions for over 24 hours at a time (with intermitant 10 minute periods of download time). We have the HomeHub and keep having to reset it when it \\\"loses connection\\\", which the BT software reports is the computer, but magically fixes itself when the hub is reset.

Downloads when working are good and around the correct speeds.

Technical support give you the run around, making you restart your computer (idiots), and leave the hub disconnected for 3 minutes while you stay on the line (pointless).

We also called for POP3 and STMP addresses, they took 30 minutes to go through remote assistance before telling us the correct addresses in under a minute on the phone.

Avoid if possible, was with nTL before and will be going back to them at the end of the contract.

If I could give the ISP a negative value I would.
We found that the line was in poor condition and the broadband would disconnect in the rain and wind. We persistantly told bt about this and they did a \'line test\' oh and guess what \'the test shows there is no problem\'. Finaly they admited it was there problem 2 months later.

When we complained about slow speed they said it was our fault for having computers and virus\'s. We\'re IT consultants dam it we know if our pc has a virus or not!

We\'re with the BT Buisness and I wish i looked at this website before i even considered going with bt.
We barely get 100KBps most of the time. We are moving!!

We signed up for Basic BT Broadband (when all you could get was 512Kbps) back in December 2003, since then we have had a few problems, like when we upgraded PC & couldn\'t get the software to work again but after 5 minutes on the phone to tech support all was working.

Before upgrading to BT Total Broadband, we found sometimes our connection would drop when left connected for long periods of time via a USB modem. However whilst now using BT Total Broadband with the BT Home Hub, in the past 4 months we\'ve had no problems.

The best broadband service ever. It\'s official!

Would never dream of using BT again. As other users have confirmed, your speed will be throttled back to 0.5Mb/s if you use your connection heavily or for p2p apps, even if you are paying the full ?35 for the unlimited option. Huge charges for line transfer and early cancellation make the value for money non-existant. I payed the full amount to the end of the contract when cancelling early, then got charged and extra ?70 on top for early cancellation - It would have been cheaper to let the contract run out.
Customer service is shockingly bad, technician to move the line never turned up I set-up everything myself. Stay well away.

Title: Useless
I am an early adopter of ADSL with BTBroadband since April 2001. In late October 2006, I requested a move from one telephone line to another telephone line - both located at the same house. On November 3, Broadband was turned off on the old line. 4 weeks later, they still have not completed the connection on the new line!
They cannot implement basic telecom/IT good practice, i.e. when migrating a system, ensure the new system is fully operational before switching off the old system!
Don\'t touch with a very long barge pole they are technical imbeciles.
No customer services, Front Line and Line Fault Technical help are useless.

BT ARE THE BEST REALLY, dont listen to other isp\'s crap. Was with tiscali for two months. They REALLY did SUCK!!! we were getting speeds with higher ping than satellite broadband (that was bad) but switched to bt yahoo and it\'s been great ever since, the resently upgraded us to 3.5mb and didnt even charge for doing that this only caused a slight hiccup and was sorted quickly. BT ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! (tiacali SUCK)

Had broadband with BT for 6 years now. It\\\'s fast and it works! You don\\\'t need to speak to any Helpdesk! I gave them 5 for support as I know it is Indian based and I don\\\'t agree with companies using Indian call centres. It is British Telecom not Indian Telecom! India gained independence from us decades ago!!!

Title: capping
Been with BT for over three years now since we could first get the 512mb service, the servie ws good and always upgraded as they introduced higher line speeds, ADSL max being the worst upgrade as I had nothing but problems for the first six weeks and BT\'s level of support was horrendous - indian call centres where operators couldn\'t understand let alone help you!!
Promises of callbacks never fulfilled & then capping which they say they have had for some time now but only been enforcing recently which I realised when I received an e mail asking for more money off me, that\'s when I called for my MAC code and moved ISP to seriously internet.

Title: Insulting
I had BT Total Broadband for a year. For the first month I got no more than 100kbps, over this period I made over 30 calls and 5 complaints to their pointless Indian call center. Was never properly sorted out despite 5 new hubs and and engineer visit.

My contract was up so I asked for my MAC code to migrate. Suddenly I am being called by UK call centres offering me new state of the equipment and big reductions in my monthly payment. Then they offered me BT Vision, when I accepted they told me I coudnt have it due to my line speed.

You get UK staff when they want your business then you get binned off to India when you have a problem.
