-Dodgy service

-disconnects around 2 to 6 times a day

-has become painfully slow (dialup slow)

-not worth any amount of money at all

In conclusion, stay away.

I switched to Wanadoo\'s 1Mb/s service in 2005. Originally the service was pretty good. Then Wanadoo were absorbed by Orange, and the disconnects began. I thought it might just be my line.

I\'ve since moved house. BT had some issues connecting the master socket to the exchange. Took two weeks to sort out, and Orange were unsimpathic to my plight. BT sorted the line and it was another two weeks for the ADSL to be connected.

While the line is fast, its up and down like a yo-yo most evenings. Orange say it\'s the filter. My collection of new filters disagree. Connecting to BT\'s SpeedTester pseudo-ISP works everytime...

Well now it\'s FAR FAR worse than it\'s ever been before. It lags horribly, if it ever connects at all. Today my wife has been at home trying to connect since 9am this morning with no luck so far (it\'s now 2:20pm). \"The remote computer did not respond\" I called Orange who said there was no problem with the connection. They were quite happy to pass me onto an 0905 tech support number at 50p per minute. Nothing wrong at my end! Happily my contract is ending next month, so it\'s goodbye forever Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange. I don\'t care how many more name changes there are, I won\'t be back - EVER.

Their customer services and tech support staff are some of the rudest and most incompetent I've ever encountered.

Avoid this like the plague.

Orange might provide a free broadband service, but if you are self employed then the costs mount up surprisingly quickly because of your lost ability to do your job properly due to this appalling service.

Complaints are largely the same as everyone else\'s on this site: connection is very unreliable, and technical support is an offence to the the words \'technical\' and \'support\'.

Orange are trying to tell me I\'m in breach of contract by leaving, but of course they are well in breach by persistently faiing to provide the service they promised when I signed up, i.e. broadband internet.

At first everything was fine stay online as long as you wanted, then around xmas the disconnections started at first it was just a matter of clicking the modem icon and letting it reconnect but recently it has meant uninstalling the software and reinstalling it sometimes more than once even getting the MAC code cost me ?10.45 on my mobile. The guy on the other end of the phone got me to try this and that even though I had already spent half the day getting the connection myself, finally asked him when I get mac code, reply wrong Dept. another call this time didn\'t press any options still took 10 mins to get the code though. WANADO never again

Stupidly signed up to wanadoo wireless and talk up to 8 meg only to receive 2 meg. Rang wanadoo asked where other 6meg could have gone do they know dont be silly. there customer services is a discrace one time a lady wouldnt listen to my problem she kept talking over me and hung up when i wouldnt listen to her excuses this was the 15th time i rang in 14 days this company depends on external contractors(bt engineers) to upgrade line speed dont they look silly surely bt will up there own service before a foreign one. I woulnt recommend wanadoo wireless and talk to my worst enemy if judgement day was tommorrow.Direct debits are easy to counsel.

I was using the 2mb dsl with a 2gb capped service and considered upgrading to 30 gp cap for an extra ?10. but when I checked out other isps I was not too happy with the cost. I called wanadoo and told them I was thinking about cancelling my line and taking up another isp, an agent told me I was a valuable customer and told me to wait on the line while I was connected to someone who could discuss a better deal.
I was shocked when someone then informed me the line had been CANCELLED called back and asked if I could be given a migration code and was told "tough, you shouldnt have made rash decisions"
Even though I didnt say I wanted to cancel

Title: AVOID
OKish \'til orange. This year connection off for 6 days in January and 10 days in Feb. Requested a mac code with difficulty. Did not arrive after 1 week. Then told that for some reason they had not yet generated it. Told in any case would not work because it was an LLU mac - clearly a lie.
So still waiting... Not to mention numerous calls to customer support, messages saying they are \'exceptionally busy at present\' [same message whenever I have rung x12 this year!]
So choose with care.

I\'m taking them to the small claims court: I sigend up for wireles & TALK. Since day 1 (November) NO talk. Spoke to \"Technical\" Support and customer \"serivces\", waste of space, in fact dis-services were extremely rude. I asked to cancel and they want ?120. I will pay this to get shot of them, but will imediatley launch a court action (I suggest others do this). For the sake of ?30, which I can claim back, I will claim for all the phone calls, difference in costs of packages (I\'ll compare to another ISP).
I\'ll also cancel my Orange mobile, my coverage is lousy anyway.
DO NOT touch, please. Just don\'t do it.

The Futures dark...

Title: Useless
If you get through to Tech Support (well that\'s what THEY) call it, in less than 20 minutes, well done ! You\'ll then struggle for 30 minutes as you reboot the router, reset your wireless (doesn\'t matter if it\'s nothing to do with wireless access), repeat the same info over and over.
And as for customer service, it seems their primary role is to lie or stall you as long as possible. They have the Baldrick Deny everything syndrome.
You: Can you help?
Them: No!
You Can you put me through to someone that can?
Them: No !
You: This is Customer Support?
Them: No !
You: I give up !
Them: No !
