Shropshire-based UK ISP Aquiss has today launched a “Summer Sale” promotion across their Openreach based Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband packages for homes, which essentially reduces the first 6 months of service to half price for all orders made before midnight on 31st August 2022.

Exeter-based broadband ISP Jurassic Fibre, which is rolling out a gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across the South West of England (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, and Dorset), recently stated via social media that they now have a total of 2,500 live homes and businesses on their service. But this is incorrect.

UK ISP Box Broadband, which was acquired last year by CommunityFibre (here) and is rolling out a 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across parts of South England (e.g. Surrey and Sussex), has extended their rollout goal to 250,000 premises and signed Lanes Infrastructure to help build the network.

Openreach looks set to introduce a new ‘On the Day Upgrade‘ (OTDU) product for Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband lines in September 2023. The trial product should enable engineers to complete more complex jobs inside the home on the same day, but the launch has been significantly delayed after ISPs raised concerns.

CityFibre UK has today announced that they’ve started the construction phase of their £30m project to deploy a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network in the Greater Manchester town of Rochdale (England), which is being supported by civil engineering firm Network PLUS.

Full fibre builder and UK ISP Brsk has announced that their rollout of a new gigabit-capable and “open access” Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network is being extended to parts of the West Midlands, with the operator anticipating that their deployment in the region will cover approximately 250,000 homes and businesses.

In a surprise development, new and existing customers who sign-up to one of Sky Broadband’s superfast, ultrafast or gigafast (FTTC, G.Fast or FTTP) powered internet access packages are now being given a “Wall to Wall WiFi guarantee” at no extra cost. Full Fibre network builder Netomnia, which is supported by broadband ISP partner YouFibre, has today revealed that their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) network now covers 210,000 UK premises (up from 130,000 in April 2022) and they’ve also published their rollout plan to 2023.
