Demon Internet
Demon seem to have got worse over the last year. Speed is consistently 350-450 kbs. Only briefly at odd times have I seen anything above 1Mbs (BT thinks it should manage 3Mbs!)
Tried to get a MAC out of them. No answer from Customer "Service" line so I wrote. Nothing. After 2 weeks, wrote again. Still nothing. 10 days on, sent an email (customerservice@demon.net) threatening unless they sent me a MAC I'd make a formal complaint to Otelo/Ofcom. Got a reply within the hour with the MAC which they told me had been issued on 19 June (7 days after my first letter) and sent to me on 5 July (i.e. today)! Call me cynical if you like but?
