Mobile operator O2 appears to have glossed over any lingering concerns about the impending £180m migration of their fixed line customers to Sky Broadband (BSkyB) by offering their Home Broadband services at 12 months half price with a £100 M&S shopping voucher.
The new promotion, which comes at an unusual time for O2 because customers have yet to be given any exact details about what they can expect from Sky, will be available to anybody who signs up before 22nd April 2013. Funnily enough Sky’s formal acquisition is due to complete by the end of April, though the migration itself won’t get under way until the summer and will then take a year or so to complete.

As usual a Home Phone line rental service with FREE UK Evening and Weekend calls can be added to the packages from £13.00 extra per month. A connection charge of £25.53 also applies. In addition customers can pick a monthly contract if they want but this does not benefit from the half-price promotion and some package features, such as the McAfee security, may be removed.
Take note that the £100 M&S voucher is not currently showing on all O2 pages (some still show as £50) but this is being slowly updated.
