The popular broadband-based Movie and TV video streaming service, Netflix, has today updated their website to hike the monthly prices across all three of their plans for customers again. New customers will see the change immediately, while the timing for existing customers will depend upon your billing date (usually following 30 days’ after notification).

Ofcom this week began a new consultation on the UK’s provisional views and positions for the next World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27), which among other things appeared to indicate that the regulator would, at least for now, only support the release of an extra 125MHz of spectrum in the 7GHz band (7125-7250MHz) for use by future mobile broadband networks (i.e. 6G).

Network access provider Openreach (BT) has notified UK broadband ISPs that they’ve extended the customer pilot phase of their future Ethernet Access Direct (EAD) v2.0 and Cablelink Service Connect (CSC) products, which are used to supply high-capacity business data links (potentially reaching speeds of 100Gbps in the near future).

The Norfolk County Council‘s (NCC) Trading Standards department has issued a new “Cold Calling Alert” that warns local people to be on the lookout after several cases of fake doorstep sellers trying to peddle broadband services were reported in the region.

Some customers of broadband ISP Onestream, specifically those who were bulk migrated from Cuckoo after the customer base was sold in May 2026 and previously had a static IP address (here), have complained after they were put on CGNAT (IP address sharing) connections and given mixed messages about future static IP support.
