Some customers of BT’s UK broadband packages, specifically those that also make use of their included Email platform, have recently begun complaining about receiving hundreds of unsolicited password reset messages (sometimes as many as 1,000 TXTs) – each containing a onetime four digit PIN code to verify their BTInternet mail account.

The JustWatch website, which currently acts as one of the world’s largest guides to TV and movie content on streaming platforms, has announced that they intend to launch their own internet video streaming service (JustWatch TV) in October 2026 – starting with the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

The Comms Council UK, which represents the national Unified Communications and Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) phone industry, has this morning published its data-sharing guidance – produced with support from the Home Office, Ofcom, and Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) – for tackling telephone-enabled fraud (e.g. scam calls and messages).

Broadband and phone provider BT (EE) has revealed that over 95% of their landline phone users have now successfully switched from legacy analogue phones to its IP-based Digital Voice service. But with the deadline approaching, the ISP is now expanding a trial that temporarily paused broadband for a small group of unresponsive customers, while keeping landlines running.

A new report from mobile operator VodafoneThree (Vodafone and Three UK) claims that London could be losing around £2.7bn a year in economic output because of bad “planning measures“, such as those that force them to take 4G and 5G network sites offline (masts and other cell sites) without first ensuring an appropriate replacement location.

London-registered network operator EXA Infrastructure has this morning announced their plan to build a new 6,552km long transatlantic subsea fibre optic cable between New Jersey (USA) and Brean (UK), which will be called EXA Meridian and is claimed to be the “first transatlantic cable built by a single operator in a decade“.

A few months have now passed since consumer broadband provider TalkTalk said they were “working on a solution” after their community forum for customers unexpectedly went offline in June 2026. But the once popular feature has not returned and the provider now simply says it’s “no longer available” as a service.
